Jindii EcoSpa | engaging, re-connecting and inspiring the community to join our tribe on the journey to wellness, in a sustainable way.
Meet Our Tribe
Bianca is a respected Spa leader, with strong industry and peer relationships, across a wide network of the Spa industry. As a spa owner and industry advocate, she recognises the importance of quality training and she continues to work to establish professional spa industry standards in Australia. She is a qualified remedial massage and beauty therapist and has industry teaching experience.
Bianca is driven by her sense of responsibility and respect to environmental issues and sustainability. Her inspiration for Jindii Eco Spa came from the Australian landscape, our Indigenous Culture and its ancient, botanical, healing wisdoms. Bianca enjoys working with like-minded people and gathers around her a team who are just as passionate about the environment, skin care, client care and quality service. Bianca loves to ‘share ways to engage our clients in celebrating the richness and beauty of the Australian bush and the rich, cultural heritage we have here.’ Connection to community is key and at Jindii you’ll find a range of community initiatives, treatments, fundraisers, workshops, classes and products which help educate, engage and unite the Jindii tribe and community.
Alex has worked in the Education and Training fields for over 20 years, and loves the fact that Jindii Eco Spa’s ethos is focused on connection and closely tied to our culture, history, landscape and the education of clientele. She is passionate about social justice causes and mentors women who seek the freedom to be themselves and who want to rediscover their identity. As an Educator, Manager and Business Owner, and with her background in Performing Arts, Alex has organised, facilitated and managed a range of educational, business and social events, as well as building partnerships with small business, corporates, not-for-profits and schools. She finds it fulfilling to be involved with a business that can give its clients ‘opportunities for self-nurture, personal fulfilment and community connection, which goes beyond the treatment room.’
Sarah is usually your first point of contact when you enter or call the Spa. As Spa Concierge, she wears many hats and can be seen helping therapists to set up their rooms, marketing our events to clients, taking care of admin, making client bookings, addressing client queries and overall, providing a welcoming smile and excellent service to each customer. ‘I love seeing clients happy and relaxed, after their treatment and I can see the positive impact that a Jindii treatment has on people.’ In the past year, she has enjoyed the challenge of working in a busy environment and in a new industry. She loves the people she sees every day, the unique spa setting and she loves working in the Botanic Gardens.
Vicky has been in the Spa Industry for two decades and is passionate about skin care, especially facials and body treatments. She strives to exceed client’s expectations and loves to help them feel beautiful, in their own skin. Vicky is a supportive staff member and enjoys mentoring therapists. She highly values education in the industry and is a qualified Trainer. She feels it is important that knowledge and skills are passed on, so that students can meet their Diploma requirements but also stay informed on industry best-practice and current developments. When asked why she loves Jindii Eco Spa, Vicky said, ‘What’s not to love? We’re in a great location, have fantastic team members, a beautiful product range to serve our clients and it’s a really lovely haven for people to retreat to, when needed.’
Daniela (aka Dan) loves her work at Jindii because she gets to interact with different people each day. She enjoys listening to their fantastic life experiences and connecting with everyone’s unique story. Dan was drawn to Jindii’s location and its serenity and the principles the spa holds. She has been interested in beauty therapy since she was 16 but took a different study and career path. When it was time for her to return to work after having kids, her values had shifted and she wanted to return to something she was passionate about and loved doing. ‘I love what I do and I know that preventative medicine is so much better for us now. I feel it’s important to encourage my clients to take time out for themselves and look after their mind, body and soul.’ Giving time for self-care, definitely helps us be happier people.
Sue is an experienced Remedial Massage Therapist and has worked in clinic environments since 2012. She is passionate about wellbeing and always notices how a client’s posture, mood and attitude change after a session. She loves the ripple effect it has on everyone else, when clients go home calmer, pain-free and more relaxed. Sue loves the spa’s location and Jindii’s values and environmental ethos. ‘I love how friendly Jindii is to the environment, in practice and with our product base. We use all organic, Australian made products, no animal testing and they’re friendly to the environment. I switched skin care products when I started working here and noticed an immediate change in my skin.’ Sue has quickly settled into the spa environment and now has a client following for those who love remedial massage care. ‘If I can connect with people and make their lives just a little bit better, then I’ve done my job.’
*You can now enjoy health fund rebates, when you book a remedial treatment with Sue.
Jessica has been in the industry for 15 years and loves the Spa Therapy environment, especially giving clients massages and facials. ‘It’s nice to have a client leave here feeling relaxed and calm, after walking in stressed.’ Jessica loves working at Jindii, as she loves the location and the open, relaxed space of the spa because ‘clients get to relax and get away from their busy lives here’. She enjoys coming to work in such a beautiful, nurturing space and encourages her clients to relax and enjoy the space after treatments.
Tori joined the spa industry in 2017 and loves it already; it being everything she hoped it would be. She finds she’s constantly learning new things from her clients, her employer and peers and even from experiencing the products daily. Tori loves putting all her focus on one person, when they’re with her, and helping them achieve what they need to make their day better. She still enjoys learning new things and has settled into the team well. ‘I love the team at Jindii and the ethics and morals of the business, because they match my own and are what I try to live in my everyday life. Each day at work I learn how to be more eco-friendly myself and it feels like it’s a place I can also come to relax, rather than work.’
Rebecca has worked in the Spa and Beauty industry for over three years now and loves it. Jindii’s environmental ethos is important to her. ‘I have two small children and I want the environment to be there for them when they’re older. If we can be part of helping with sustainability, that’s great.’ Rebecca enjoys providing a range of beauty therapies to her clients and is always upskilling. She loves learning as much as she can, so she can provide her clients with the best and latest research, products and beauty treatments. She enjoys the relaxed environment at Jindii and says, ‘everyone feels like family here.’
